Pricing Questions

How much do seamless gutters cost?
Gutters start at $400, and a $400 minimum applies to every service — that covers a licensed crew and on-site fabrication even on small jobs. The final number depends on your linear footage, gutter size (5" or 6"), material, and the number of downspouts, which is why every quote is measured at your home, in writing, and itemized.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes — free and on site. We measure your actual rooflines rather than quoting off a satellite photo, walk the drainage with you, and the price we put in writing is the price you pay. No call-center scripts; quotes are reviewed by Ryan, the owner.
Why is there a $400 minimum?
Because doing a small job right costs the same in crew, truck, and machine setup as starting a big one. The minimum lets us send the same licensed installers and form the same .032 aluminum on a 20-foot repair as on a whole-home install, instead of rushing it.
Do you price-match other gutter companies?
We quote honestly against our own costs rather than chasing the lowest bid. Many cheaper quotes are hanging .027-gauge aluminum — about 18% thinner metal. If you're comparing bids, ask each company to put the gauge in writing; ours always says genuine .032.
Can you do a partial run — just one side of the house or a patio?
Yes. Short runs over entries, garages, and patios are common projects, often finished in a few hours. The $400 minimum applies, and the run is still formed seamless on site in .032 aluminum — small job, same standard.
Are you a national franchise?
No — Southwest Seamless Rain Gutters is family-owned and operated by Ryan and Nina Scheerer under Southwest General Contractors LLC. The person reviewing your quote owns the company, and the licenses on every page (NVLIC #0093742, AZROC #346705) are ours, not a franchisor's.
Materials, Sizes & Colors

Materials Questions

What's the difference between .032 and .027 aluminum?
Thickness — and lifespan. .032 is roughly 18% thicker than the .027 stock many installers use. In desert sun and monsoon loads, thinner gutters ripple, dent at ladder points, and sag on long runs years sooner. We form every aluminum system in genuine .032.
What gutter sizes and styles do you install?
5" and 6" K-style seamless gutters, formed on site to your exact roofline. 5" handles most single-story homes; 6" adds capacity for large roof planes, steep pitches, and monsoon downpours. We size to your roof's actual math during the free quote.
How many colors can I choose from?
50+ factory colors — 46 verified factory names — across the aluminum line, so the gutters match your fascia and trim instead of standing out against them. That selection is also what makes HOA and design-review color approval straightforward.
Do you install copper gutters?
Yes — genuine copper in K-style and custom profiles. Copper never rusts; it weathers into a natural patina that deepens over years. It's the premium choice for custom homes and a specialty we're known for in both states.
Will galvanized steel gutters rust?
Eventually, yes — that's the honest caveat. Galvanized steel is strong and economical, but once its zinc coating wears, the steel underneath can rust. Aluminum is rust resistant by nature, which is why it's our most-recommended material in this climate.
What exactly makes a gutter "seamless"?
It's formed at your home from a continuous roll of aluminum coil, cut to the exact length of each roof section — so there are no joints along the run. The only seams in the whole system are at corners and downspout outlets, which is why seamless gutters leak less and look cleaner than sectional gutters assembled from stock lengths.
Can you match my existing gutter color for a repair or addition?
Usually, yes — with 46 verified factory color names we can match or get extremely close to most installed colors. One honest note: sun-aged gutters fade, so a brand-new section can read slightly different in tone next to a ten-year-old run. We'll show you the swatch against your existing gutter before we form anything.
What is a leaderhead?
A leaderhead (or collector box) is the decorative funnel mounted at the top of a downspout — it collects heavy flow from the gutter outlet and adds an architectural detail to the drop. We install them as part of our downspouts and leaderheads service, in finishes that match your system.
Warranty

Warranty Questions

What warranty comes with my installation?
Two layers, both in writing. Our workmanship carries a 2-year warranty as required by law through the Nevada State Contractors Board and Arizona Registrar of Contractors. The material itself carries the manufacturer's coverage on top of that — details on our warranty page.
What does the Service Partners Lifetime Material Guarantee actually cover?
It's the manufacturer's program on our .032 aluminum coil: the finish is warranted against cracking, peeling, blistering, chipping, and flaking for 20 years from installation — 100% coverage in year one, prorating on a published schedule after that.
Does the material warranty need to be registered?
Yes — and this is the detail most homeowners never hear. The guarantee is only valid when it's signed by the installing dealer at installation, countersigned by you, and filed with the manufacturer within 30 days. As an authorized dealer, we handle that paperwork at your install.
Why is your workmanship warranty 2 years when other companies promise decades?
Because 2 years is what the law establishes through both states' contractors boards — and a promise bigger than the accountability behind it isn't worth the paper. We'd rather tell you exactly what's covered and honor it completely.
What happens if something goes wrong after installation?
You call us, and we come back. Workmanship issues within the 2-year warranty period are fixed at no cost; material defects route through the manufacturer warranty we registered at your install. Nevada (725) 333-7246, Arizona (928) 588-7246 — we service what we install.
Installation & Process

Installation Questions

How long does a gutter installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We roll each run on site from continuous .032 aluminum — no prefab sections — hang and pitch it, seal the outlets, and finish with a walkthrough of every run and downspout before we leave.
Can you install gutters on a tile roof?
Yes, routinely. Concrete tile sheds water in concentrated sheets at the eave, so hanger placement and pitch have to respect the tile profile — set up correctly on day one, runoff lands in the gutter instead of behind or past it.
Do you repair gutters another company installed?
Yes. Sagging runs, pulled hangers, leaking seams, crushed downspouts — we repair existing systems regardless of who hung them, and we'll tell you honestly when a repair makes sense versus when replacement costs less over time.
Where should my downspouts discharge?
Toward your lot's engineered drainage path — usually the street — never against a foundation, a side-yard wall, or a neighbor's grade. On big roof planes we often recommend two modest drops over one oversized one; they move storm water with less splash.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
Not for the work itself — the crew operates outside and the machine stays in the driveway. We do want you there at the end for the closeout walkthrough, where you check every run, corner, and downspout with us before we call it done.
How are the gutters attached — will it damage my fascia?
With hidden hangers fastened into the fascia — no old-style spikes driven through the gutter face. Hidden hangers grip stronger, disappear visually, and let us set spacing for monsoon water loads. Properly hung gutters protect fascia; it's unmanaged roof runoff that destroys it.
How often should gutters be cleaned in the desert?
More than people think — desert dust, gravel, and windblown debris build up even with no trees nearby. The smart rhythm here is twice a year: before monsoon season hits in July, and after the winter storm season. Gutter guards stretch that to an occasional rinse.
Service Area, Scheduling & Licensing

Service Area Questions

What areas do you serve?
Southern Nevada — the Las Vegas valley including Summerlin, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, plus Pahrump, Mesquite, Laughlin, and Mount Charleston — and all of Mohave County, Arizona: Kingman, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, Fort Mohave, and the surrounding communities. Each city has its own page with local details.
What happens if a storm damages my gutters tonight?
Call us first thing — we offer same-week response with priority scheduling for storm damage, and we won't pretend to run an around-the-clock dispatch that doesn't exist. After a monsoon cell hits, use the number for your state and we'll get eyes on the damage fast: Nevada (725) 333-7246, Arizona (928) 588-7246.
When is the best time to schedule gutter work?
Before the rain, not after it. Late spring beats the July–August monsoon; fall beats the winter storm season that peaks around February. Installs in fair weather cost the same and protect the whole season. We're open Monday–Saturday, 7 AM–6 PM.
Are you licensed and insured in both states?
Yes — Nevada license NVLIC #0093742 and Arizona license AZROC #346705, fully insured, with A+ BBB accreditation. The dual licensing is what lets one crew and one standard serve both sides of the state line.
Do gutter guards mean I never clean my gutters?
They dramatically cut cleaning, but "never" oversells it — fine desert dust and debris still accumulate slowly on any guard system. Expect an occasional rinse instead of regular scooping. We install guard systems fitted to new or existing gutters.
Why do desert homes even need gutters?
Because desert rain arrives in bursts, not drizzles — a monsoon cell can drop an inch in an hour onto stucco, hardscape, and soil that can't absorb it. Gutters exist for exactly that worst hour: they take the roof's share of the flood and put it where the lot is engineered to drain, instead of against your slab and walls.
Do you help with HOA approval paperwork?
We provide what design review typically asks for — the color name, material spec, and profile details of your system. With 46 verified factory colors to match fascia and trim, approval is usually straightforward; Summerlin, Anthem, and Green Valley homeowners deal with this constantly and it's routine for us.
What kinds of commercial buildings do you work on?
Offices, warehouses, and retail centers across both states — high-capacity seamless systems engineered for big roof planes and desert downpours, installed under the same two licenses as our residential work.
