If you are building or have just closed on a home in Skye Canyon, there is a good chance it came without gutters. That is normal for new construction in Southern Nevada — the builder finishes the roof and the stucco, and the gutters are left to you. The upside is that you get to do it right from the start: a complete seamless system, sized to your actual roof, with downspouts placed exactly where the water needs to go, color-matched to your builder's trim from more than 50 baked-on factory colors so it looks like it was always meant to be there.
Elevation is the other half of the job. At roughly 3,000 feet against the open desert, Skye Canyon homes take stronger wind and more blowing grit than the valley floor, so we hang every run to proper pitch with hidden hangers anchored to hold, and we recommend micro-mesh guards where the dust and any nearby landscaping make them worth it. On the larger two-story and elevated Skye Hills lots, we size up to 6-inch with 3x4-inch downspouts to keep up with the fast runoff that comes off the mountains.
Every installation we do carries a two-year workmanship warranty, as required by law, and that is separate from the manufacturer's lifetime material guarantee on our .032 aluminum. On a new home that still carries its own builder coverage, it is worth knowing your gutters are backed in writing and the material is backed by the maker — no inflated promises, just what we can actually stand behind.
